Non-porous, low-maintenance, and color-consistent — engineered quartz is the most popular kitchen surface we install.
The original engineered quartz brand — pioneered in 1987.
Caesarstone is one of the most recognized engineered quartz manufacturers worldwide. Their slabs are non-porous, scratch-resistant, and require zero sealing. We frequently fabricate Caesarstone for Ventura and Santa Barbara County kitchens that need durable everyday performance with consistent veining.
American-made quartz with bold marble-look veining.
Cambria is mined and manufactured in the United States, making it a favorite for American-made remodel projects. Their natural-stone-inspired designs (Brittanicca, Skara Brae, Brittanicca Gold) are some of the most-requested marble alternatives we install across Ventura County.
Hybrid HybriQ quartz with up to 99% recycled content.
Silestone by Cosentino blends natural quartz with recycled materials and uses 100% renewable energy in production — a strong choice for environmentally conscious Santa Barbara homeowners. Their Eternal and Ethereal collections deliver stunning marble looks without the upkeep.
Wide selection at builder-friendly pricing.
MSI Surfaces offers an enormous catalog of quartz with looks ranging from quiet whites to dramatic veining. We stock and install MSI Q Premium Natural Quartz for projects that need designer style at value-driven pricing.
Designer-driven quartz with painterly movement.
Vadara is known for artist-grade veining and bold, large-format slabs (up to 130"). Their Carrara Imperiale, Calacatta Veneto, and Lazio designs are favorites among the interior designers we collaborate with in Montecito and Ojai.
Premium engineered quartz from LX Hausys.
Viatera by LX Hausys offers refined patterns with subtle, elegant movement. We install Viatera frequently for clients who want a quieter, more architectural look — Minuet and Aria are perennial favorites.
Natural-look quartz with strong marble alternatives.
Pental Quartz delivers high-fidelity marble visuals with the practicality of engineered stone. Carrara Gioia and Misterio are popular choices for our Ventura coastal homes that want a marble look without the maintenance.
A natural metamorphic stone that's harder than granite with the visual softness of marble.
Natural quartzite — softer than granite to the eye, harder underfoot.
Taj Mahal is a natural quartzite from Brazil with warm cream and soft beige movement. It's harder than granite (7+ on the Mohs scale), heat-resistant, and only needs sealing every 1–2 years. One of the most-requested stones in our showroom.
UV-, heat-, and scratch-proof — ideal for outdoor kitchens, fireplace surrounds, and high-traffic commercial spaces.
Ultra-compact sintered surface — UV-, heat-, and scratch-proof.
Dekton is Cosentino's ultra-compact surface engineered for indoor and outdoor use. It won't fade in California sun, takes direct heat, and resists scratches. It's our top recommendation for outdoor kitchens, BBQ surrounds, and pool houses across Santa Barbara County.
Sintered stone with bookmatched, large-format slabs.
Neolith offers the largest sintered stone slabs in the industry with stunning bookmatched veining. Ideal for monolithic kitchen designs and architectural feature walls.
Timeless natural stone fabricated for clients who want one-of-a-kind veining and lasting character.
Italian luxury marble — the gold standard for veining.
Quarried in Carrara, Italy, Calacatta marble offers dramatic, bold veining on a bright white background. It's a true natural marble and requires sealing and care, but nothing else looks quite like it.
Timeless natural granite — heat-, scratch-, and stain-resistant.
Black granite varieties like Absolute Black, Jet Mist, and Cambrian Black bring timeless contrast to white cabinetry. Granite is one of the hardest natural stones available and stands up to anything a kitchen throws at it.
Choosing between quartz, quartzite, marble, granite, and sintered surfaces comes down to four things: how the surface looks, how much maintenance you want to do, what you'll cook on it, and your budget. As a Ventura County fabricator who installs every major brand, here's how we guide our clients.
Engineered quartz is roughly 90–93% crushed natural quartz bound with resin and pigment. It's non-porous, never needs sealing, and resists most household stains. Colors are highly consistent slab-to-slab — perfect for kitchens with multiple seams. Trade-off: it's not heat-proof above ~300°F, so always use trivets.
Quartzite is a metamorphic rock that's harder than granite. It looks like marble but performs much better. Each slab is unique and requires sealing every 12–24 months. It's our top recommendation when clients want the warmth of natural stone with minimal upkeep.
Natural marble (Calacatta, Carrara, Statuario) is the classic luxury choice — but it etches with acidic foods and patinas over time. Granite is the workhorse: heat-proof, scratch-resistant, and dramatically varied. Both require periodic sealing.
Sintered surfaces are the newest category — formed under extreme pressure and heat to mimic millennia of natural stone formation. They're UV-stable (great for outdoor kitchens), heat-resistant, and scratch-proof. We install Dekton on most of our outdoor kitchens across Santa Barbara County.
